CALIRED NEWS–Charles James Kirk was celebrated by 100,000 attendees who came to an eight-hour memorial service at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona with overflow attending other nearby venues; while at least another 615,000 watched the Fox network livestream of the memorial service that was broadcast; and 100 million overall streams worldwide according to Andrew Kovlet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show who stated that the final numbers are “likely much larger” because families watched together.

The attendees waited for hours in the parking lot which opened up at 7 a.m. and then waited for the stadium to open at 8 a.m. Some of the nation’s most renowned worship leaders began singing at 8:30 a.m. They included Chris Tomlin who sang “Holy Forever,” and “How Great Is Our God,” Brandon Lake who sang “Gratitude,” Phil Wickham, and the husband-wife duo of Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes who sang “The Blessing.” Jobe said: “We need our land healed. We need our country healed.” Carnes said: “Let us grieve the evil…and as we grieve, sow those seeds of love that snuff it out.” Songs by Lee Greenwood and Steve Amerson were also sung.

The memorial service was like a revival meeting with many opportunities to make Jesus Lord and Savior following the two plus hours of worship. Former Newbury Park (Ventura County, California) Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy (pastor of Charlie Kirk) gave an invitation at the beginning of the memorial service for those who did not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior to stand and receive Him. Many did.

The most moving moment of the memorial service was Erika Kirk’s tearful words to the killer of her husband: “I forgive him. It’s what Charlie would do.” Charlie “wanted to save young men, just like the one who took his life. Our Savior said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they (do) not know what they do. That young man..I forgive him, because it was what Christ did.”

Charlie Kirk was credited with bringing enough young males into the conservative fold that the 2024 election was swung to Donald Trump as young people and swing states supported Trump’s campaign for President.

The actual memorial service began after 11 a.m. and included the following speakers:

  • Rebecca Dunn (a major supporter and donor of Turning Point USA).
  • Dr. Larry P. Arnn (president of Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan) who said that Charlie was the only student to complete 31 Hillsdale courses without ever attending full-time.
  • Mikey McCoy (Turning Point USA staff member and son of Pastor Rob McCoy) who said his life was changed through meeting his wife, Elizabeth, and is doing what Charlie urged: “get married.”
  • Tyler Boyer (Turning Point USA): “I met my friend, Charlie, in 2011 and I share this vision for this conservative movement.”
  • Justin Steiff (Turning Point USA): “Turning Point has built a movement that has changed the world.”
  • Stacy Sheridan (Turning Point USA): “Charlie wanted to change the world and he sold me on this vision. He was there when my husband passed. He was there when my home burned down.”
  • Andrew Kolvet (Turning Point USA spokesperson & producer): “Charlie Kirk loved you. He read every single one of his emails from you.”
  • (Read Charlie Kirk producer claims memorial had ‘100 million overall steams’ .)
  • Benny Johnson (Turning Point USA). “We fight for Charlie Kirk. Charlie had revival energy. Each of us has a Charlie moment because he brought us closer to Christ. We are allied to save our land to a turning point.”
  • Dr. Ben Carson (a retired American neurosurgeon): “Charlie didn’t have a college degree, but he went circles round people with college degrees. He did his learning outside of the classroom.”
  • Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (FL): “Charlie was a humble leader. We honor him as a patriot. He brought moral course to change the outcome of moral decay and ideological tyranny. I challenge you to speak the truth as Charlie did. Will you?
  • Jack Posobiec (Turning Point USA): “We will not forget the name of Charlie Kirk–my friend, my brother, my commanding officer.  Charlie Kirk has brought us to the promised land. His sacrifice is a gift to us. Till we meet against brother.”
  • Frank Turek (Turning Point USA): “Do you want justice or do you want grace? The devil shrieks. We are awake again. We are born again.”
  • Pete Hegseth (Secretary of War): “Charlie shared how Jesus Christ was His Lord and Savior. That our sins are washed away by Jesus…The devil overplayed his hand with Charlie…We need to put on the full armor of Christ…Charlie, well done you good and faithful servant.”

(Editor’s Note: The following stories appear in Breitbart coverage of the Sept. 21 Memorial service. Additional speakers included):

  • White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller: “Forces of evil made Charlie Kirk ‘immortal.’ (We need to) “dedicate ourselves to finishing his mission and achieving victory. The day that Charlie died, the angels wept, but those tears have been turned into fire in our hearts, and that fire burns with a righteous fury that our enemies cannot comprehend or understand…Now millions will carry on his legacy, and we will devote the rest of our lives to finishing the causes for which Charlie gave his last measure of devotion.”
  • White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles: “Charlie’s Army of young voters helped secure President Trump’s 2024 victory. Charlie gave us countless young Americans who had their first turning point; the moment they decided to stand up, speak out, and make America all that she could be…Charlie’s army, outworked, out-hustled, and outperformed everyone else.”
  • Former Fox News Commentator Tucker Carlson: “Charlie Kirk was doing the thing that the people in charge hate most…calling for them to repent…Ultimately, he was a Christian evangelist…Charlie was fearless at all times, truly fearless to his last moment. He was unafraid, he was not defensive, and there was no hate in his heart.”
  • Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard: “Everyone needs to be a warrior like Charlie Kirk–a warrior for truth and for freedom…Charlie lived what our Founders envisioned. His words were his weapons, he slayed ignorance, he cut through lies and he woke people’s minds, he inspired people’s hearts and imparted wisdom every day.”
  • U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “Charlie Kirk had an ‘uncanny amount of wisdom.’ He led this movement, but he did so with incredible knowledge. But he just didn’t have knowledge. He had wisdom…He had a tremendous impact on young Americans in general…He had a very special and direct impact on young men in this country.”
  • Secretary of Health and Human Services RFK, Jr: “Charlie ‘gave the biggest microphone’ to his opponents who were passionately aligned against him, because he believed we need to talk to each other…Charlie died with his boots on.”
  • Donald Trump, Jr.: “Relationship with Jesus was the most important thing to Charlie…Last week, Charlie joined a long line of courageous men and women who were martyred for what they believe…The 100,000 people here today are a signal to the world, our message of faith, family and country will not be silenced. ”
  • Vice President JD Vance: “I have talked more about Jesus Christ in the past two weeks than my entire time in public life…Charlie exemplified kindness, courage, and a commitment to open debate, and he was a great debater. But Charlie loved debate not because he excelled at it, but because it was the vehicle for bringing the light of truth to dark places.”
  • New Turning Point CEO Erika Kirk: “U.S. is seeing a ‘revival’ to God. This past week, we saw people open a Bible for the first time in a decade, we saw people pray for the first time since they were children. We saw people go to a church for the first time in their entire lives.”

  • President Donald Trump: “Charles Kirk lives forever in the pantheon of ‘America’s greatest patriots…He was violently killed because he spoke for freedom and justice, for God, country, for reason, and for common sense. He was assassinated because he led boldly and he argued brilliantly, without apology. He did what was right for our nation…I will soon award Charlie the nation’s highest civilian honor: the Presidential Medal of Freedom.”

The memorial service ended after a slew of 25 speakers spoke and when President Donald J. Trump called up Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk, to come up to the stage where he embraced her.
