Angel Families Praise Trump for Immigration Crackdown: ‘You Are the Man’

Feb. 23: Fox News by Alex Nitzberg

As President Donald Trump’s administration seeks to tackle the nation’s illegal  immigration problem, individuals whose relatives were killed by illegal immigrants thanked the president during a ceremony on Monday.

Allyson Phillips, the mother of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student who was slain by a Venezuelan man on Feb. 22, 2024, offered heartfelt thanks to the president. Phillips told Trump that he is doing “a thankless job that most people just wouldn’t do,” noting, “I just can’t thank you enough.”’

Jody Jones, who described how his brother Rocky was shot “eight times at point-blank range,” said he is “sick and tired” of Democrats talking about “criminal, illegal aliens” getting torn away from their families. “What about us? What about the American family? What about us? We mean somethin’ too. And this man right here understands it,” he said.”I love America. I love Donald Trump. I love my family,” he said. “Thank you very much Donald Trump. President Trump, you are the man,” he added.

The president signed a proclamation on Monday declaring Feb. 22, 2026, as National Angel Family Day.

Rep. Mark Harris: No More Irynas—Trump’s Historic Crime Drop Proves Tough Enforcement Works

Feb. 24: Breitbart Opinion by Congressman Mark Harris (R-NC)

Six months ago, Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was brutally murdered on a Charlotte, North Carolina, light-rail train—just miles from my district. Her killer, Decarlos Brown Jr., a repeat offender with a lengthy criminal history, should never have been on the streets. This tragedy exposed the deadly consequences of soft-on-crime policies in Democrat-run cities, where victims suffer while offenders face minimal accountability.

In his first year back in office, President Donald Trump has confronted these failed approaches head-on. Tonight, during his State of the Union address, he will rightly celebrate the progress in delivering on his promise to make America safer—so that no more women like Iryna have to fear for their lives on public transit.

A recent poll showed that 81 percent of Americans view crime as a major problem in cities. President Trump has delivered results: homicide rates fell dramatically in 35 large U.S. cities in 2025, likely reaching the lowest level since at least 1900. This marks one of the largest single-year drops on record, with violent crime declining across many major categories.

The root issue remains clear: when consequences are weak, crime is emboldened. That’s why President Trump is leading the charge to defund sanctuary cities that refuse to protect residents and instead shield those who break our laws. No more taxpayer dollars should reward jurisdictions that put politics above public safety.

President Trump is fulfilling his promise to Make America Safe Again.  President Trump is upholding his constitutional duty to faithfully execute the laws and ensure safety for all Americans. Remarkably, it took strong national leadership to address what local Democrat mayors neglected for too long. Congress must codify these wins by advancing policies that protect our communities, respect our police, and put law-abiding citizens first. Together, we will continue to Make America Safe Again.

Savannah Guthrie Offers $1 million Family Reward for Recovery of Nancy Guthrie

Feb. 24: Fox News by Michael Ruiz & Stephen Sorace

Savannah Guthrie in an Instagram video Tuesday morning announced a family reward of up to $1 million for the recovery of her mother, Nancy Guthrie. The 84-year-old is believed to have been abducted from her Tucson home in the middle of the night on Feb. 1. The family is also donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the “Today” host’s Instagram post, in order to support other families.

“Please keep praying without ceasing,” Guthrie said in the video. “We still believe, we still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home. Hope begets hope. As my sister says, we are blowing on the embers of hope.” However, she also acknowledged a grim possibility while pleading for help from anyone with knowledge of what happened to her mother. “We also know she may be lost,”  Savannah said. “She may already be gone. She may have already gone home to the Lord that she lives, and is dancing in heaven, with her mom and her dad and with her beloved brother Pierce — and with our daddy.”

In the caption, she urged anyone with information to dial 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).

Mother Of Woman Found Dead in Illegal’s Dumpster Reveals Trump’s Three-Word Message to Her

Feb. 26: Fox News by Peter Pinedo

Jennifer Bos, the mother of a woman who was found dead and covered in bleach in an illegal immigrant’s dumpster in a Chicago suburb, described the emotional moment she met President Donald Trump and shared his three-word message to her: “Watch what happens.”

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Bos described being part of a group of families of migrant crime victims known as “Angel Families” who met with the president and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem for a memorial ceremony Monday. She called the meeting “moving,” saying, “I could feel how important that we are to [Trump] when we aren’t important to anyone else, that means everything.” Bos said Democratic Gov. JB Pritzker, meanwhile, “has never once mentioned Megan’s name, he’s never acknowledged what happened, he’s never reached out to me.”

This is an experience and frustration shared by Joe Abraham, another Illinois resident and Angel parent who was at the Monday ceremony as well. Abraham’s 20-year-old daughter, Katie Abraham, was killed by an illegal alien in a drunk-driving incident while standing at a stoplight in the college town of Urbana, Illinois. The federal government’s immigration crackdown in the Chicago area was launched in Katie’s honor. Dubbed “Operation Midway Blitz,” the effort resulted in more than 4,500 illegal alien arrests, according to DHS.

Dr. Oz: Cuban Migrants Escape to Havana with Millions in Stolen Medicare Cash

Feb. 26: Breitbart by Neil Munro

Cuban migrants are ripping off American taxpayers via Medicare fraud and then fleeing back to Cuba with the cash, a top administration official told Fox News. “This fraud is weaponized … often by foreign nationals,” said Mehmet Oz, also known as Dr. Oz, who runs President Donald Trump’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). “We can’t allow it to continue,” he said as he described how migrants steal government funds intended to supply medical devices, such as wheelchairs, to sick Americans.

Oz said that CMS has put a six-month “nationwide moratorium” on the approval of “new durable medical equipment” businesses in the U.S. He explained that in some of the fraud cases, many from businesses owned by Cuban nationals, the suppliers are not providing equipment, such as government-funded wheelchairs and canes, but are instead stealing Americans’ beneficiary numbers and creating fake businesses to embezzle taxpayer funds.

“Many of these businesses are owned by Cuban nationals, by the way. They bill falsely for $5 million for a month of fake stuff. They flee back to Cuba. We try to go after the money. It’s already gone. It’s been shipped overseas, said Oz.”

Marsha Blackburn Issues ‘Migrant Crime Reporting Act’ To Have States Publicly Track Crimes Committed by Illegal Aliens

Feb. 27: Breitbart by John Binder

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is introducing legislation that would incentivize states to track crimes committed by illegal aliens and report such crimes on a public website, Breitbart News has learned.

The Migrant Crime Reporting Act, reviewed first by Breitbart News, seeks to nationalize a Tennessee law that requires the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference to publicly report migrant crime every year.

“Joe Biden’s open border allowed millions of illegal aliens to flood our country, and all Americans deserve to know how many have been charged or convicted of crimes in their communities,” Blackburn said. “The Migrant Crime Reporting Act would ensure that states have the tools and resources to collect data on illegal alien crime and report it.”

Under Blackburn’s bill, states would be incentivized to publicly report migrant crime by submitting such data to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and posting it to an official government website. In return, states that take such action to keep track of migrant crime would be awarded federal grants.
