100,000 Celebrate Charlie Kirk’s Life at Arizona Memorial Service

CALIRED NEWS–Charles James Kirk was celebrated by 100,000 attendees who came to an eight-hour memorial service at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona with overflow attending other nearby venues; while at least another 615,000 watched the Fox network livestream of the memorial service that was broadcast; and 100 million overall streams worldwide according to Andrew Kovlet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show who stated that the final numbers are “likely much larger” because families watched together.

Congress Passes Day of Remembrance Resolution for Charlie Kirk

CALIRED NEWS–The U.S. Congress has created a National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025–Charlie’s 32nd birthday.
The U.S. Senate passed the resolution unanimously on Sept. 18 and House Resolution 727 was passed on Sept. 16 by a vote of 310-58 with 58 Democrats voting against it; 38 Democrats voting present; and 22 Democrats not voting at all. To put that in context: a bipartisan resolution condemning the shootings of Democratic state lawmakers in Minnesota passed the U.S. House 424-0 in June.

CALIRED NEWS–Charles James Kirk, an American conservative political activist, author, podcaster and founder of Turning Point USA was remembered at four packed memorial services held Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 13-14) at Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Newbury Park, California by his Pastor Rob McCoy and then a Prayer Vigil held at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. on Sunday, Sept. 14th attended by 80 Congressional leaders featuring eight speakers.

Retiring City Manager Proposes Two Options to Solve Redding’s Budget Deficit

CALIRED NEWS–Retiring City Manager Barry Tippin proposed two options to solve Redding’s budget deficit near the end of the Tuesday, Sept. 16 City Council meeting.
The Redding City Manager’s presentation came following an oral report made by the City of Redding Public Works’ Street Division which outlined the City’s Pavement Condition Index that showed the majority of Redding’s roads were in the Poor Zone not in the Fair Zone nor in the Good Zone.
