LOS ANGELES, CA–The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum was the site of a Saturday, April 11th Prayer Rally featuring revival, repentance and reformation while the Hope Fest LA that followed focused on salvation, healing and deliverance.

The celebration was opened by Harvest Church Pastor Che Ahn (who has a network of churches and ministries across 60 nations) and Pastor Lou Engle (senior leader of the International House of Prayer) with 50 shofars and a shout of praise.
Pastor Engle called for a “mantle of evangelism to be released and for signs and wonders to be manifested in the streets. Ten years ago, Azusa Now happened here. That prayer meeting joined a great prayer meeting in heaven and the roar of heaven was heard.”
Three Chrisian candidates running for office spoke: Pastor Che Ahn running for California Governor, Bishop Art Hodges running for California Senate District 18 which represents San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and Rafael Torres, Victorville City Council. Pastor Che Ahn mentioned that he is not on the state ballot for governor because of a technicality but is still running as a “write-in candidate.”
Both Pastor Ahn and Bishop Hodges successfully sued Gov. Gavin Newsom in cases that went to the U.S. Supreme Court for closing down the church during COVID-19 as “non-essential” while permitting casinos to still operate. “Revival begins with the church,” said Pastor Che Ahn. “We need to be bold and share our faith. Reformation is when we disciple a nation. Jesus said to make disciples of all nations. Baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.”
Speakers at the Prayer Rally included: LA City Attorney Hydee Soto; Pastor Bill Johnson of Bethel Church in Redding; Dran Reese of Salt and Light Council; Andrew Wommack, a television evangelist and faith healer; Ed Silvoso, an Argentine evangelist; Wilma Berry, co-founder of the Azusa Street Mission; Pastor Jim Garlow of Skyline Westminster Church in La Mesa, California; Pastor Chuck Pierce, President of Glory of Zion International; and Benjamin Nolte of Exodus Cry.
Pastor Garlow repented for division between those from the holiness movement and those within the Pentecostal and charismatic movement. Pastor Chuck Pierce repented for the rejection of William Seymour who left Houston, Texas to come to Los Angeles because of racism against African Americans.
Benjamin Nolte, repented of pornography, which has resulted in human trafficking, “much of what comes from Los Angeles and has hijacked sexuality and created a hook-up culture whose results have annihilated a generation; but God is pouring out something more powerful–the blood of Jesus washing a generation.”
“I am going to come back to the gates of this nation,” prophesied Apostle Chuck Pierce. “I have gathered my worshipers in Los Angeles. Because you have come, I will send my Spirit again. This is a historic point in this nation.”
“Revival was supposed to bring reformation. The presence and power of God in the church brings transformation to the culture outside of church,” said Redding Bethel Pastor Bill Johnson.
“I am going to wake up the church in California, for there will be a great California awakening,” prophesied Cindy Jacobs, cofounder of Generals International. “I will raise up a Generation Z church. I am the God of California and I say wake up California.”
“The light that shines, must shine in your home,” said Pastor Ed Silvoso. “California shall be set free.”
Speaker Lindsee Kiser challenged attendees to minister to the homosexual community. “The church was supposed to be there for homosexuals in the 40s, 50s, 60s. We need to repent for not ministering the power of the gospel and believing in the transformational reality of Christ to the outcasts and to the orphans.”
Angela Nicole shared a testimony of being conceived in rape. My mother had nine abortions and I know other women who have had multiple abortions. I have experienced life-changing healing from my abortion trauma because of faith in Jesus.”
Dran Reese, founder and president of Salt and Light Council and over Judeo-Christian Caucus™ and Biblical Voter™ shared the Family First Pledge that has been presented to candidates running for office which includes:
- Freedom to practice the tenets of their faith.
- Protect innocent human life from conception to natural death.
- Defend the natural family and natural marriage (one man and one woman).
- Restore the natural right of parents to determine the best way to educate, raise and care for their children.
- Promote free market economic policies that empower families to achieve their highest potential.
The day’s events actually began 40 days earlier with 1,000 churches involved and nearly 70,000 hearing the gospel message with over 7,000 accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and thousands more healed.
