Stories Speak Volumes: Sept 15-Sept 19

A Round-Up of National and International News

Compiled by

There are so many stories making up the mosaic of national/international news that we can’t cover them all every week. The biggest stories now seem to be: Israel and Iran, the Trump presidency (lawfare and judges), immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, taxpayer cuts, Ukraine peace, and hatred and violence against Christians. Here are just a few:

Trump Confirms A Large Group Of People Are Under Investigation In Charlie Kirk Assassination Case

Sept. 15: Gateway Pundit by Cassandra MacDonald

President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that a “large group of people,” specifically tied to the radical left, are now under federal investigation in connection with the assassination of conservative powerhouse Charlie Kirk. Tyler Robinson, 22, was apprehended following a 33-hour manhunt for gunning down Kirk during a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

In the aftermath of Kirk’s shooting, social media sleuths have tracked down multiple accounts tied to the transgender and furry communities that appeared to have prior knowledge of the impending assassination.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Trump didn’t mince words, blasting the left for fomenting the kind of hatred that led to Kirk’s murder. “If you look at the problem, the problem is on the left. It’s not on the right,” Trump told the press. “When you look at the agitators, you look at the scum that speaks so badly of our country, the American flag burnings all over the place—that’s the left. That’s not the right.”

FBI Investigating Seven People For Alleged Foreknowledge Of Kirk Murder, Including Big Ideological Signs

Sept. 15: RedState By Bonchie

In a bombshell revelation, it is being reported that the FBI is investigating at least seven different online accounts for expressing direct foreknowledge of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. The conservative activist was shot in the neck by a far-left ideologue with ties to the transgender movement on Wednesday while speaking at a campus event in Utah. Before this latest news broke, it was largely assumed, at least by the mainstream press, that the shooter acted alone. That is now an assumption very much in doubt.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, which has the exclusive, several different posts were made, some over a month in advance, indicating they knew Kirk would be murdered. In some cases, the specific date of September 10th was mentioned.

‘They Only Cared About Raw Political Power’—Manchin Blisters Obama, Biden, Schumer In New Book

Sept. 16: RedState by Bob Hoge

“Because of what I knew—and what I had seen firsthand—I wanted Republicans to win the Senate majority in 2024.” Those are the words of former West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, a long-time Democrat who switched to independent in ’24, in his new book set to be released Tuesday called “Dead Center: In Defense of Common Sense.”

He accused Biden and Schumer of using bullying tactics to try to get him to sign on to pulling the country further and further left and assuring Democrat one-party rule.

The West Virginian accused the Democrats of showing their true thirst for power in attempting to nuke the filibuster: they were simply hyper-partisan operators who cared more about bowing to the extremist left than they did about doing what was right for the country. “They had no interest in protecting the Senate’s role as the deliberative body,” he wrote, “They only cared about raw political power.”

Obama Implies Trump to Blame For Charlie Kirk Assassination: ‘Extreme Views Were Not In My White House’

Sept. 17: Breitbart by Joel Pollak

Former President Barack Obama implied Tuesday that President Donald Trump was to blame for Charlie Kirk’s assassination, because of “extreme” personnel and policies that aroused violent opposition.

Obama was interviewed onstage by Steve Scully at the Jefferson Educational Society in Erie, Pennsylvania. He mourned Kirk’s death, saying it was “horrific,” but made sure to recite an (inaccurate) laundry list of Kirk’s more controversial statements.

Obama then said that Trump wanted to use Kirk’s assassination as “a rationale for trying to silence discussion around who we are as a country and what direction we should go.” He then claimed that when he had been in the White House, “those extreme views were not in my White House. I wasn’t embracing them. I wasn’t empowering them. I wasn’t putting the weight of the United States government behind extremist views.”

In fact, it was Obama who inaugurated an era of division and extremism. On the campaign trail in 2008, he encouraged his supporters to confront friends and neighbors, and “argue with them, get in their face.”

Democrat Nadler Attacks Charlie Kirk During House Judiciary Hearing

Sept. 17: Gateway Pundit by Cristina Laila

FBI Director Kash Patel on Wednesday testified before the House Judiciary Committee on the FBI’s handling of the Epstein files and Charlie Kirk assassination investigation. Kash Patel destroyed the Democrats with a powerful opening statement.

“Under this administration, the FBI has arrested more than 23,000 violent criminals, 23,000 in seven months. That’s twice as many year to date last year. We’ve taken over 6,000 firearms off the streets. 6,000 guns are no longer in the hands of criminals in seven months. We’ve identified and found and located 4,700 child victims,” Kash Patel said.

“That is a 35% increase year to date last year. We have arrested 1,500 child predators. That is a 10% increase. Year to date last year in just seven months. We’ve assisted our partners with countless counterterrorism operations around the world,” he said.

Four Republicans Side With Democrats To Kill Effort To Censure Ilhan Omar

Sept. 17: Gateway Pundit by Jim Hoft

On Wednesday, Rep. Nancy Mace’s (R-S.C.) effort to censure radical Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) for her vile celebration of the political assassination of Charlie Kirk was derailed, not by Democrats alone, but by four spineless Republicans who chose to stand with the Left.

The four Republicans who sided with Democrats were:

  • Rep. Mike Flood (R-Neb.)
  • Rep. Jeff Hurd (R-Colo.)
  • Rep. Tom McClintock (R-Calif.)
  • Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.)

“4 Republicans sold out tonight. They sided with Democrats to protect Ilhan Omar. A woman who mocked the assassination of an innocent American husband and father,” Mace wrote on X. “Democrats just voted to protect Ilhan Omar. Not Charlie Kirk, not his grieving family, not basic human decency. This is who they are. Never forget it.”

Kimmel Cancelled: Refused To Apologize For Charlie Kirk Remarks On Air

Sept. 18: Breitbart by Joel Pollak

Former late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel reportedly refused to apologize on air for his remarks about Charlie Kirk during an earlier monologue, in which he blamed the “MAGA gang” for Kirk’s assassination.

Kimmel went on to make fun of President Donald Trump for his supposedly flippant response to Kirk’s murder, focusing on one remark instead of Trump’s many statements and gestures since the assassination.

House Passes Resolution Honoring Charlie Kirk: 58 Democrats Vote Against

Sept. 19: Breitbart by Sean Moran

The House passed a resolution on Friday honoring Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, with 58 Democrats voting against the resolution, 38 voting present, and 22 not voting. The House voted 310-58 to pass the resolution honoring the life of Kirk who was assassinated on September 10 while speaking to a crowd at Utah Valley University. The resolution said Kirk was a “courageous American patriot” who aimed to “elevate truth.”

The vote served as a tense moment for House Democrats, many whom did not agree with Kirk’s politics but felt compelled to vote for the measure to denounce his brutal killing. At a closed-door meeting on Thursday Democrats reportedly fretted that voting against the resolution may make them the targets of violence.

Charlie Kirk’s Funeral Will Have Super Bowl Level Security

Sept. 19: Gateway Pundit by Cassandra MacDonald

Federal authorities have designated the upcoming funeral for Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, as a Special Event Assessment Rating Level 1, the highest security classification typically reserved for major national events, such as the Super Bowl. This decision comes in response to reports of several threats of “unknown credibility” against the memorial itself and officials who are attending. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Erika Kirk are all scheduled to speak.

William Mack, the Secret Service special agent in charge of the Phoenix field office, told ABC that “the Secret Service has been designated as the federal coordinator for the funeral. Our teams are already on the ground in Phoenix and Glendale, working side-by-side with state, local, and federal partners,” Mack said. “Together, we are fully committed to ensuring that these solemn events receive the comprehensive protection and support they require.”

Jose Santiago, public information officer for the Glendale Police Department, told the outlet that he will not be surprised if more than 100,000 people show up to celebrate Kirk’s life. “He says they expect people to travel in from across the country and begin lining up for the first-come, first-served service by 2 a.m. on Sunday, if not before. The parking lot opens at 7:00 a.m., local time. Camping in the area will not be allowed,” the report states.

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with doors opening at 8 a.m. Attendees are advised to expect enhanced security measures, including a no-bag policy and additional screening that may result in longer wait times. Mourners are encouraged to wear attire in red, white, or blue. Instead of flowers, donations are requested for Turning Point USA.
