OXNARD, CA–Gloria Massey Chinea, a Ventura County election integrity activist, is encouraging others to fight for the SAVE Act–the Voter ID measure–pushed by President Donald J. Trump in his Feb. 24th State of the Union Address to the nation.
(Editor: Read CaliRed’s article on the State of Union address.)
Chinea has designed a sample letter to send out to six key U.S. Senators that include both California Senators Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff. The measure has been passed by the U.S. House and yesterday Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit confirmed that Senate Majority Leader John Thune will bring the SAVE American Act to the floor.
According to Senator Thune, a staggering 84% of all voters believe in requiring a valid form of ID to prove citizenship before voting. This isn’t just a “Republican” issue—70% of Democrats and 84% of Independents agree with President Trump.
Chinea’s Voter ID flyers states: “Where Do We Use Government Photo IDs?
- Financial Transactions (opening bank accounts, cashing checks, large cash withdrawals and applying for loans).
- Travel & Transportation (boarding flights, renting cars, checking into hotels).
- Service & Access (entering secure buildings, starting utility service, gyms).
- Age-Restricted Purchases (alcohol, tobacco, vape products, lottery tickets).
- Legal & Official Uses (notary documents, marriage license, some states’ in-person voting).
The Ventura County election integrity activist states that at least 42 nations require a government photo ID to vote. “Why is the USA one of the only counties that doesn’t require a government photo ID to vote?” said Chinea.
