PASADENA–“California is at a crossroads: The Church must lead,” states California governor write-in candidate Pastor Che Ahn,” who will be hosting a California Christian Coalition zoom on Thursday, May 7th at 5:30 p.m. RSVP and Register Here.
The California Christian Coalition is “uniting pastor and prayer leaders to transform California” and consists of a growing network of pastors, ministry leaders, and prayer warriors who believe that spiritual awakening and civic engagement must go hand in hand if California is going to be restored.” The Coalition meets by zoom every first Thursday with a vision of creating “one million prayer hubs across California” which can be as small as 2-3 believers gathering regularly to pray for their city, their leaders, and spiritual awakening in California–creating a grassroots prayer movement that covers the entire state.
The Christian Coalition exists to “connect, equip, and mobilize pastors and believers across the state to pray, lead and act.” Since the overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022, California has seen a 16 percent increase in abortion rates in just one year, becoming a destination state for abortion services. At the same time, families are leaving the state, homelessness continues to expand, and many believers feel disconnected from what is happening in Sacramento.
According to Pastor Che Ahn: “California remains one of the most influential places in the world—impacting culture, technology, education, and values far beyond its borders. What happens here matters everywhere. There are millions of people in California who identify as Christian. But many are not connected, not unified, and not actively engaged in prayer for the direction of our state.”
“Consider what’s happening at the national level:
- “The President is set to rededicate America “as one nation under God” on May 17, 2026, at a National Jubilee event on the National Mall, marking the U.S. 250th anniversary. The date mirrors the Continental Congress’s May 17, 1776, declaration of a national day of prayer and fasting before signing the Declaration of Independence.
- “America Reads The Bible was a week-long event (April 18–25, 2026) at the Museum of the Bible in D.C., where over 475 leaders and citizens, including the President, read Scripture aloud continuously from Genesis to Revelation.
- “The Third Attempt on the President’s Life: A friend of the campaign, WK, believes that the President’s reading the Bible aloud to the nation, and then the third failed attempt on his life a few days later, are connected on a much higher level.”
For those who wish to: Volunteer to Transform California can do so and participate by: making phone calls, going door to door, placing signs in yards, hosting fundraisers and meet-and-greet events, writing letters to media, mailing letters, joining in prayer, and in the use of social media.
