Landmark Legal Foundation Submits Amicus Brief with U.S. Supreme Court on Behalf of EIPCa Supporting Candidates Late-Arriving Ballot Allegations
Written by
Michael J. O’Neill of Landmark Legal Foundation filed an Amicus Brief on July 29, 2025 with the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Election Integrity Project California in support of candidates’ allegations that acceptance of late-arriving ballots is injurious to candidates running for office.
In 2020 EIPCa worked with Landmark Legal Foundation’s attorney Michael J. O’Neill on a Petition for a Writ of Certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit– Brief of Amici Curiae Election Integrity Project, California Inc. and Election Integrity Project Arizona, LLC in Support of Petitioners.
Landmark Legal Foundation/EIPCa provided to the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) an Amicus Curiae (friend of the court brief) in support of the state of Arizona’s effort to retain its anti-ballot harvesting law.
Because EIPCa’s Amicus Brief was the only one submitted to SCOTUS that contained actual evidence, it was published in the Congressional Digest, and played a significant role in Arizona’s receiving a positive ruling from SCOTUS (Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee). EIPCa/Landmark Legal Foundation can be found on pages 23-24.
And now Landmark Legal Foundation and EIPCa have submitted another 21-page document of evidence-backed Amicus Curiae in defense of Illinois candidates’ suit of grievance against their state’s acceptance of ballots for 14 days after Election Day (Bost v Illinois State Board of Elections).
EIPCa has benefited from 20,000+ trained observers who over the years have given generously of their time to receive intensive training and then to observe and report under penalty of perjury. This documentation is now, for the second time, before the Supreme Court, providing the evidence needed to restore election integrity.
Landmark Legal Foundation is an American nonprofit conservative legal advocacy group founded in 1976. The President as of 2018 is Richard P. Hutchison.
EIPCa is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) charity. Contributions are tax-deductible. Subscribe to receive the EIPCa newsletter at: https://www.eip-ca.com/signup.
