REDDING–“California stands at a crossroads,” said California Governor candidate Pastor Ché Ahn. “Will we be a state where biblical values and lawful order are respected–or a state where the rule of law collapses under political expediency? The leaders that we choose in 2026 will embody that choice.”
Pasadena Harvest Rock Pastor and Author Ché Ahn following God’s call to run for California Governor in 2026 is coming to Redding for a Meet & Greet sponsored by the Shasta County Republican Assembly on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 1-3 p.m. at the Donaldson Fine Art Center, 1232 Center Street.
Pastor Ché Ahn Following God’s Call to Run for California Governor
“I had an encounter with the Lord on April 28, 2025 and I woke up at 2:22 in the morning. I think that number is significant because it represent Isaiah 22:22 for me:
‘The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; So he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open’ (NKJV).
“I knew God was calling me to run for California governor and my initial reaction was ‘Please God, not this. Anything but this. I knew it was the voice of the Lord and I threw a crazy fleece out. I need confirmation and if President Trump invites me to the White House, then I know it is really from you.
“I had met President Trump twice in 2024. Once in February at Mar-a-lago (Florida) and then in Atlanta (Georgia), Charlie Kirk invited me along with other pastors before a big rally and I was one of four pastors asked to pray for President Trump.
“I said to the Lord, I have never been invited to the White House and five hours later, I got an email inviting me to the White House. President Trump asked me to come to the National Day of Prayer and a handful of pastors were invited on the day the president signed the executive order for the Religious Commission set up on May 1st.”
“I shared it with my wife and family and they all affirmed it. I still had to get a number of things in order. I am pastor of a church and I lead a network of churches and I had to submit to the board what they thought and everybody gave me the green light and I made the announcement on Aug. 2, 2025 that I was running for governor.”
“We know we can win. We are called to be the root of righteousness.”
Pastor Ché Ahn shared how he came to California from Maryland. In his story, he spoke about revival in California. Pastor Ché Ahn also contrasted revival and a great awakening (which changes society).

Real Issues and Real Solutions
“Just a few years ago, I stood in the pulpit of an empty sanctuary, preaching to a camera while Governor Gavin Newsom’s administration threatened pastors and fined churches simply for gathering in worship. In 2020, the state of California dispatched law enforcement not to quell crime but to shutter churches, silence Christian voices, and stifle the essential ministries that feed the hungry, heal the broken, and bind the wounds of our communities.”
True California Leadership is Lacking
“Today, the same governor refuses to speak with such clarity or conviction as lawless mobs roam the streets of Los Angeles. The selective application of justice has become glaring. When peaceful believers gathered in prayer during a pandemic, we were called threats. When rioters loot business and burn the city, they are met with tolerance or outright encouragement.”
My Battles In California
“I’m a shepherd. I’m a pastor. I’m not a professional politician. I definitely am not a soldier that Israel was looking for to take on Goliath–some military man to kill Goliath but it was some shepherd boy who was unknown.
“I’m not going to play the political game in California. I’m coming with the heart of a pastor and I want to be a pastor and governor for all of California–not just for the conservatives. I want to represent everyone, including Democrats.”
Qualities For A Governor
“We need a governor who is tough and courageous. It is the grace of God; because I fear the Lord. One thing I have learned over the years is that when you fear God, you do not fear man. I am going to do what is right and just and compassionate.”
A Public Servant
“I am a public servant. I work for the people of California and I want to be their best servant ever by making California glorious again. That is my commitment.”
When Elected
“I will establish a House of Prayer in every city. Democrats are blind (‘who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God should shine on them’ (1 Corinthians 4:4, NKJV). ‘Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.’” (1 Timothy 2:1, NKJV).
“I have been part of the prayer movement and was president of The Call in 2002 and 2003. On Sept. 2, some 25 years ago, we prayed for a reversal of Roe v. Wade in a huge gathering in Washington, D.C. We also had seven stadium events and on June 24, 2022 The Supreme Court overturned abortion in the Dobbs decision (ruling that The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion, allowing states to regulate abortion laws independently.)
“(Unfortunately) California’s movement in becoming a sanctuary state codified abortion in Proposition 1 in the 2022 general election on Nov. 8 with a two-thirds vote and amended the California Constitution granting the right to abortion.
“The dark is getting darker. This is the biggest injustice in our State. The taking of innocent blood is murder. We’re not fighting individuals but this is a spiritual battle.
“When I am Governor, I will ban California being a transgender sanctuary. Transgenders have a suicide rate that is 50 percent higher than other teens. I will also return parental rights. We will stop the transgender indoctrination in the schools and spend our money going back to education basics.
“We will be pro-life, pro-family, pro-Israel and fee market. I have signed the Salt and Light Council Family First pledge.”

“I’m a Conservative. I’m a Trump advocate. I am a revolutionary for Jesus.”
(Editor’s Note: Pastor Ché Ahn and his wife, Sue Ahn, have been Senior Pastors of Harvest Rock Church, Pasadena since 1994. He is the President of Harvest International Ministry, a global apostolic network in over 70 nations with over 100 California churches and is also International Chancellor of Wagner University.)
How Can I Be Supported?
- Pray for me and pray for California.
- Give money to my campaign.
- Volunteer for my campaign. Make phone calls.
- Support me with social media and at the grass-roots level.
I Can Raise Money
“I raised millions to do The Call (prayer movement). I raised $13.5 million in 4.5 months when we bought our church building–the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena–the crown jewel Pasadena Performing Arts Center Auditorium.
Why Me?
“I was a drug addict pastor kid lost on drugs for three years. I was a high school drop out and homeless. I will make the homeless disciples of Jesus.
“I will release 22 campaign promises (a few each month) as we move toward the Primaries in June, 2026. I will share my values. God is good. He has given me His favor.”

Take Your Power Back California Governor Showdown Featured 13 Candidates
Pastor Ché Ahn was one of 13 Republican candidates that came to the Take Your Power Back California Governor Showdown held at Awaken Church from 5-11 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 8th in San Marcos. The event was moderated by Take Your Power Back Show host Kim Yeager, independent journalist Lara Logan, and election integrity expert Dr. Douglas G. Frank. Pastor Ché Ahn was one of the event sponsors.
The 13 GOP candidates participating included not only Pastor Ché Ahn but Jim Athans, David Collenberg, Lewis Herms, Steve Hilton, Colby Marcum, Daniel Mercuri, Leo Nerano, David Serpa, Scott Shields, Gretha Solarzano, Ryan Tillman, and Leo Zacky. Not participating was Chad Blanco.
Pastor Ché Ahn’s responded to the four questions asked to all candidates at the California Governor Showdown:
Question 1: The California GOP?
“It is leadership that can bring about reform to impact the Republican Party. We need to know God. Revival can bring us back. Proverbs 14:34 states: ‘Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people’ (NKJV).”
Question 2: Election Integrity?
“We need a California audit of elections. We need voter ID. We need same day voting without mail-in votes. We need a national holiday for voting. We need to vote like we used to.”
Question 3: Farming/Ranching & Food Supply?
“We have 20 million gallons of water but we need 40 million gallons of water. We have runoff, the delta, Shasta Lake but we have a Marxist/Community (ideology).”
Question 4: Child Sex Trafficking?
“This is egregious to have child sex trafficking. We need a spiritual revival, a reformation in our government to protect our children.”
Dr. Chuck Pierce At Keys To The Golden Gate: “It Is God’s Time For California”
”It is God’s time for California,” said Dr. Chuck Pierce at the Nov. 1st Open The Heavens ‘Keys To The Golden Gate’ event at the San Francisco Scottish Rite Masonic Lodge. “This is the year to determine how California will go. California has an opportunity to experience His glory. California, are you ready to move forward in a new way?”
Pastor Chuck Pierce, founder and president of Glory of Zion International Ministries, located in Corinth, Tex., returning from an overseas trip in Asia, prophesied: “I have ordained this time to gather you. This is a critical moment in this state, because I will rearrange the voices that rule throughout this land…this is the beginning of the last stand for California. Now stand and stand firm. I call this my kingdom last stand for California, saith the Lord.
“The Lord showed me (in 2008), California which had two roots: a glory root and an evil root. Who will rule? The glory root or the evil root?”
