Trump’s Department of Education Replaces ‘Pride Month’ With ‘Title IX Month’

President Donald Trump’s Department of Education on Monday announced that it is, for the second time, recognizing June as “Title IX Month” rather than “Pride Month.”

The Department of Education said recognizing June as “Title IX Month” honors the 54th anniversary of the Educational Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), which was signed into law on June 23, 1972, and “commemorates women’s struggle for, and achievement of, equal educational opportunity and, throughout the month.”

Born in 1947, I was a baby boomer and fortunate to grow up in the 1950s. I was raised in a traditional two-parent home in Queens, a residential part of New York City. I could walk out the front door of my garden apartment and be surrounded by many boys my age. I had a typical childhood for that time, playing football without a helmet, wrestling with friends, and staying out without parental supervision until it grew dark. In school, I learned the ABCs, the 1, 2, 3s, and unbiased American history.

The 70-year-old former Colorado elections clerk was released Monday following Gov. Jared Polis’ May commutation of her nine-year sentence on felony charges for her role in breaching the county’s election voting systems and equipment in 2021. She was concerned that there were irregularities in the 2020 presidential election, where Joe Biden received a mind-bending 81 million votes despite campaigning mostly from his basement. She was worried that Dominion Voting Systems machines had potentially been compromised.

The biggest stories now seem to be: Israel and Iran, the Trump presidency (lawfare and judges), immigration (migrants and illegals), wars, weaponization of government (the deep state) against Trump and conservatives, our nation’s debt, massive inflation, climate change controversy and related expenses of government, industry attempting to address these issues, the Chinese threat, national security, abortion, taxpayer cuts, Ukraine peace, and hatred and violence against Christians.
