What Can God Do With 52 Days?
The Nehemiah Alliance prayer begins today Sept. 11. There is a place for you in these 52 days

A perfume maker helped rebuild Jerusalem’s wall.
So did a goldsmith. A father and his daughters. A man who repaired the section opposite his own house.
Their names are there in Nehemiah 3. Scripture remembers where they worked and what they contributed.
Together, the people finished the wall in 52 days.
I want you to keep those people in mind today.
Because it is possible to care deeply about the condition of our country and still wonder where your own contribution could possibly matter. The needs feel enormous. You have work tomorrow. Someone needs dinner tonight.
And yet, right there, you have a place to begin.
Today, the Nehemiah Alliance launches 52 days of prayer, fasting, and repentance, beginning at sundown Sept. 10 and continuing through November 1.
I’ve personally sat with leaders in Washington who have joined this effort. Across the wider Alliance, pastors, worship leaders, ministry founders, and public servants are coming together around the same invitation: humble ourselves before God and seek renewal.
I want to bring that invitation into your home.
When we pray for America, we are praying for people with names. The child you worry about. The friend who has quietly stopped going to church. The neighbor whose life looks fine from your side of the fence.
Take a moment and think of one person you long to see encounter Jesus.
Keep that person in mind when you hear the word rebuilding.
That is what has my heart in this: people coming to know Christ, families finding healing, and churches ready to walk alongside someone who is beginning again.
And I want us to make room for God to work in us, too. To show us where we need forgiveness. Where we need to offer it. Where obedience has been waiting on our willingness.
I’ve put together a free 52-day prayer guide to help us begin. It includes daily Scripture, a prayer, and a declaration, along with faith stories from all 50 states.
Open day one tonight. Pray for that person by name. Ask someone to join you, and choose a time you can return to tomorrow.
Imagine those prayers rising from kitchen tables, church pews, and quiet rooms across the country. Your household can be part of that.
The perfume maker had a place in the rebuilding.
